ICF Ocean Racing World Championship Portugal

July 04, 2013

With the ICF Ocean Racing World Championship only a week away, competitors are finalising their training programs and preparing to travel to Portugal for what is shaping up to be a classic battle of the best paddlers from around the world.

The South African's are well represented in this World Championship with a very strong team led by Dawid Mocke who will be looking to repeat his victory achieved last week in the Mauritius Ocean Classic. His brother Jasper and the Chalupsky brothers will also be in the hunt.

Dawid will reignite his strong rivalry with Vaikobi's very own Tim Jacobs, who has been quietly preparing himself for this event over the Sydney Winter and will lead the charge for the aussies along with Mark Anderson, Cory Hill, Sam Norton and Greg Tobin. Tim is feeling fresh and is keen to get into his Nelo Ski when he arrives in Portugal on Sunday.

The Australian Team is proudly supported by Vaikobi and will be competing in Vaikobi's V Heat range of technical on water clothing to give them the edge they need in Portugal.

The Aussie team will be competing against a host of legend paddlers from South Africa, Europe, North America and Asia across, Opens, Womens, Juniors, U/23's, & Masters in what is sure to be a showdown in Porto, Portugal.
