The large is a better fit for me but the battens are a bit long so hard to bend my legs. For my height I have shorter legs. I can squeeze into the medium on and the batten length feels better. I have never had sailing paints with battens and never had sore thighs. Haven’t tried the suit yet but maybe battens make hiking easier. I like the design of the suit but think just 5mm neoprene with out the battens would be more comfortable for me. Maybe they could be removable?

I’ve sailed lasers for 16 years and tried many different wet suits and hiking pads. The Vaikobi hiker force suit is the best wetsuit / hiking solution I’ve ever tried.

I was between sizes and opted for a medium. The suit is snug and the pads are perfect. The is no movement of the pads and the extra pad length gives a master sailor extra support. The suit is warm, but not hot. The 3 different types of stretch fabric means the suit flexes where it needs to and is fixed where you don’t want movement.

Fantastic suit — would thoroughly recommend to any laser / aero / dinghy sailor that needs support while hiking.

I got interested in these after having seen them in an ad on FB. I got back to dinghy sailing three yrs ago, after a 35 yr break. I sailed a lot but I developed lower back pain last year. I figured these hikers would help stabilize and complement my core strength exercises in the gym. I ordered M since that was the right size according to all columns in size guide except waist. They arrived and were disappointingly to small. I contacted customer service who swiftly arranged for an exchange. Very friendly service by Louise. Now L arrived and they exceeded my expectations. I have sailed twice starting with pain but after hiking for over an hour my pain is gone! Moreover, they are so soft and comfy on many places. I can thoroughly recommend this product!

Great hiker, longer pads, fits good. Crossed shoulder strap is nice as it will not fall off my shoulders. Usually wear Sandiline and Rooster. Hope this last as long!! So far they are great.
