DESIGNED TO PERFORM

Sailing demands more from your gear than almost any other watersport - you need protection from spray and wind, freedom of movement for hiking and trimming, safety gear you can trust in an emergency, and UV protection for long days on the water. The wrong gear slows you down, makes you uncomfortable, and can compromise your safety. Vaikobi's sailing range is built around those specific demands, developed alongside Olympic sailors, World Champions, and everyday club racers who know what performance on the water really means.

  • Stay dry and protected - V-DRY-X Grand Prix dry gear with 15k breathable waterproof membrane and microbonded seams built for coastal racing, with VDRY smocks and vests for training and club sailing in all conditions
  • Stay safe on the water - ISO 12402-5 certified PFDs with sport-specific designs for dinghy sailing, skiff racing, and windsports, plus the Torque Quick-Release Harness developed with Olympic and World Champion sailors for immediate release in emergencies
  • Stay warm in cold conditions - FlexForce 2mm and 3.5mm wetsuits, VCOLD thermal layers, and the Hiker Force Suit Gen2 built for cold-water sailing and maximum hiking performance without restricting your range of movement
  • Stay UV protected on long days - lightweight UV50+ rashies, tech tees, and UV pants built for extended time on the water in warm to hot conditions, with VIZE+ polarized sunglasses to cut glare off the surface
  • Stay in control of your boat - GEN 2 V-GRIP gloves in Deck and Pro options deliver powerful grip on any line diameter, reducing hand strain and improving control during racing and training
  • Stay visible and connected - high-vis colour options across the range keep you easy to spot on the water, with cap keepers, waterproof phone cases, and hydration bladders to keep your essentials secure and accessible during racing and training

After a session on the water, packing down in the boat park can be chilly - throw on one of our full-zip hooded change towels to stay warm while you unrig. Practical, cosy, and a great gift for the ocean athlete in your life.

Competing in a regatta? Vaikobi rashies and tech tees are available for custom team branding and bulk orders to keep your crew looking unified on and off the water.

FAQs
Can I customise V-DRY-X sailing gear?

All V-DRY-X garments feature minimal Vaikobi branding, allowing sailing teams, clubs, and sponsors to add custom logos without compromising the look or technical integrity of the gear. Contact Vaikobi for custom teamwear needs.

How does the quick release skiff harness work?

The Vaikobi Torque Quick Release Harness has a pin with quick release tab mechanism, that can be activated when NOT under load. This pin is not designed to be pulled out while under load, because no one wants to be quick released while trapezing or manoeuvring! Find out more in our comprehensive Harness article.

Why wear thermals when sailing?

Thermal wear that’s specifically designed for dinghy sailing and yacht racing offers numerous advantages that can enhance your sailing experience and performance. By wearing thermal base layer tops and/or pants, you can stay warm, comfortable, and focused on the race ahead, regardless of the weather conditions.

Do rashies keep you warm?

Rashies (otherwise known as rash vests or UV sun tops) are not designed to keep you warm, they are designed to protect the skin from abrasion during watersports and to keep the sun off the arms, neck and back.
