How Does It Fit?

  • If your Impact Hat arrives slightly out of shape, gently bend and flex the inner shell by hand, then try it back on, and repeat until it feels comfortable and uniform on your head. Adjust the straps and cord for the perfect fit.

    Bucket bump hat way better than expected.

    Works for several reasons: 1) comfortable and not hot, 2) maintains shape in higher winds, 3) the protection is where it needs to be 4) the strap actually works where it sits under your chin and doesn’t get caught up in PFD and other gear. On that point, you can flip up the back of the rim and it won’t get hung up either. Very helpful when you have sunglasses, pfd, and radio attached or an additional lanyard for a multi tool. For looks-better than the pictures show. Buddies liked it also; doesn’t look like PPE. Mind you, it really isn’t, but it’s better than a ball cap when you’re scrambling back on your flipped catamaran you just pushed too hard… The Vaikobi logo could be a bit more deserving of the brand- it’s a rubber square that looks like an afterthought. That’s the only “negative” I’ve got on the hat. It’s going to get water time. A lot of water time.

    The Bump Bucket Hat You Have Been Waiting For!

    This is the bump hat you have been waiting for! I was looking for sun protection, head protection and high viz colour for visibility. The S/M size fit great and true to size - you don't notice it wearing it. The brim is stiff and doesn't blow around in the wind. I use it for Wingfoiling, Windsurfing and Foil Drive and the hat stays on after a high speed crash and in breaking waves. Great product!

    It is well made ,light & comfortable

    wingfoiled today in 20-25 knots & didn't notice it

    It stays put even after crashes with the reasurance of foil impacts on the head if that happens
