How Does It Fit?

How to fit the hook of the Vaikobi QR Harness:

When you purchase your Vaikobi QR harness, the hook will most likely be attached to the harness by some cord.You will need to untie the cord to get it ready to put on to the spreader bar.

  1. On the spreader bar you will see two prongs as well as a a hole in the top of the spreader bar. You will also see the quick release pin that is attached to the spreader bar by elastic.
  2. Place the quick release hook on to the spreader bar and line up the holes on the hook with the two prongs.
  3. You will then see that the hook will be positioned to allow you to insert the pin through the top of the hook and into the spreader bar.

For the first time, you will find it a very tight fit to get the pin into the hole at the top of the spreader bar. This is designed to be that way.

We recommend that you keep the hook on the spreader bar permanently because within 7 days, the hook will settle in to the foam pad on the spreader bar which will make it easer to pull the pin out to release the hook.

The QR Hook system is designed to allow you to release the hook in an emergency, but it is also designed to ensure that the pin will not accidentally come out of the spreader bar.

  • Vaikobi products are made to the highest standards, however if your product arrives in less than perfect condition, or not as you expected, please contact us immediately so we can make it right
  • If you would like to exchange the size or have changed your mind, the item must be returned within 14 days of receiving your order
  • If you are returning an item, it must be in saleable condition and must not have been used, washed, or damaged in any way
