Murray Stewart is an Elite Kayak, Surfski and Ocean Racing Paddler. As part of the Australian “K4some” team, Murray won Gold at the London Olympic Games, which has been the highlight of his career to date.

With multiple World & Australian titles to his name, Murray is undoubtably one of the best paddlers Australia has ever seen. Under the watchful eye of coach Tim Jacobs, Murray leaves no stone unturned in his quest for perfection.

Murray has been selected to represent Australia again at the 2016 Olympic Games where he will race in the K1 & K4 Events. We will be cheering for Muz all the way in Rio!!!

Like the majority of Australia’s sprint paddlers, Stewart got into the sport from surf lifesaving. In 2009, he won the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships – the win was the first for his club Manly since 1948.

Away from the water, Murray Stewart is also a successful academic having graduated from his Masters of Architecture at the University of Sydney in early 2012 where he had been a recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s scholarship for academic and sporting success.
