This backpack is the best for taking to races and general travel. It is roomy, waterproof and comfortable to wear even fully loaded. The material is strong and durable, the zippers open and close easily. The backpack with the chest strap sits nicely on my shoulders and back very comfortably. I mainly use this for my dragonboat practices and races. You do need to organize your stuff logically when packing it since it is one big pack. So if you need something as soon as you get to your destination ie:change of shirt, you would pack that closer to the top. The inside of the pack has a slip pocket for separate storage which I use for my sunscreens, bug spray, etc. The 2 side pockets are large and great for snacks, energy bars, small water bottles. The front zippered pocket is huge and I use zippered bags to organize everything there. The bottom has a large zippered compartment for your wet clothes, shoes, etc. The large open space is very convenient, and makes it quick and easy to pack. This backpack also fits easily in the overhead compartments on a plane.
