With the ICF Ocean Racing World Championship only a week away, the Australian team members are finishing their preparations here in Australia before they begin their journey to Vila do Conde, Portugal.

The Australian team is led by Vaikobi’s Tim Jacobs who is feeling fresh after preparing himself over the Sydney winter with fellow Aussie team mate Mark “Ando” Anderson. A solid offshore session in a strong Sydney westerly yesterday, wrapped up the Sydney based training program for both of these paddlers.

In the Open Mens, Australia is fielding a strong team also comprising of Cory Hill, Sam Norton and Greg Tobin, who will join Jacobs and Anderson in what is shaping up to be a classic battle of the worlds best ocean paddlers.

The Aussie team will showdown with the South African contingent who are well represented in this World Championship with a very strong team led by Dawid Mocke who will be looking to repeat his victory achieved last week in the Mauritius Ocean Classic. His brother Jasper, the Chalupsky brothers- Oscar & Herman and Hank Mcgregor will also be in the hunt.

There is also a strong European flavour in the field with any of the paddlers from Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, France and the UK, set to feature in the overall standings.

Fit Tips

If one of your body measurements is in between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your body measurements for hips and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, order the one indicated by your hip measurement.

How To Measure

WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part (typically where your body bends side to side), keeping the tape horizontal.
HIPS: Measure around the widest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.
CHEST: Measure the fullest area of your chest. Stand up straight and breath normally.
