Vaikobi enjoyed a fantastic launch on Saturday April 27th at the Middle Harbour Challenge, held at Middle Harbour Yacht Club.
The full Vaikobi range was on hand for paddlers to view and the feedback was fantastic with many orders placed ahead of our stock being available on May 8th from Ocean Paddler, Pro Kayaks and www.vaikobi.com
The event also raised money for Sunnyfield and there was a great crew there cheering on the paddlers.
Suzie Rhydderch was our lucky winner of the Vaikobi Winter paddling pack, which includes a V Cold Paddling Pant, V Cold S/S Top and V Cold warm up sleeves. Suzie was all smiles and is ready to train through winter!
On the water, 105 paddlers faced the starters horn and Dean Gardiner and Mark Anderson were quick out of the blocks to take out the Ski doubles, whilst Vaikobi's very own Tim Jacobs enjoyed a victory in the Ski singles over the 17km course.
Special mention to Dave Coward who placed 5th after getting pipped by Tommy Woodriff on the line.
John Nicotra took out the Single Ski 7km short course race, whilst in the competitive SUP division, Mark Rennie took out the Mens, whilst Tammy Montgomery took out the womens.
It was great to have the SUP guys there and look forward to seeing more of them at future events.
Vaikobi will be at the next Harbour Series event on May 11th at Pittwater as well as Blast time trial events over the coming months. For more updates, stay tuned to www.vaikobi.com
