I have been paddling OC1 for a few years now and one of the biggest problems I have encountered is “boat butt” (aka chafing on my back side) when I increase my weekly distance. The microfiber on the VCOLD flex shorts really cuts down on this problem. Given the cancellation of the OC6 seasons (regatta and distance) in Hawai’i due to COVID-19, my mileage has gone up to 80 to 100 miles per week In the OC1 and these shorts have really helped a lot to keep me comfortable. I found they last about 800 to 1000 miles before the seat starts to breakdown. This isn’t bad give most running shoes only last 500-700 miles. Would be nice if you could get the same microfiber in a warm paddle short however.
